A mobile camping safari staying in small private mobile camps is one of the best ways to experience Kenya's natural attractions. The safari has been designed to include a variety of habitat so that the widest diversity of wildlife can be seen.

The camps are sited in private conservancies so that walking and night drives may be taken but are also conveniently located for easy access to Amboseli and Nakuru national parks and the Maasai Mara.

Transport is by four-wheel-drive Toyota Land cruiser with roof hatches. Your driver-guide is a wildlife and nature expert and member of the Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association.

Camel Safaris.
Camel safaris in Kenya is probably the most authentic way to experience the real African safari and people. The professional camel trips are very well coordinated and organized. The safaris combine walking, camel rides and camping into the deepest of Kenya's wild.

Safari departs almost at any time of the year. The months months of December to March and July to October is traditionally very periods.

Explore and enjoy walking or riding the camel safari in Kenya's dramatic and breathtaking scenic in this totally unspoilt wilderness area of Northern Kenya. About 40 male Somali camels make up your transport - 10 for riding and the rest for baggage depending on the group size.

The staff are all from the local Masai tribe and they add a great deal to your safari experience since they have retained all their tribal traditions and customs.

You may be lucky enough to see elephant, greater kudu, reticulated giraffe, Gravy's zebra, gerenuk and Oryx. Exploring the bush on foot, you capture the experience and nostalgia of the early safaris - once out of base camp no vehicles accompany this safari.  See safari

Mountain Climbing.
Mount Kenya trekking
and Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania is a popular out door activity. Itineraries highlighted below cover all the Mount Kenya routes.

Mount Kenya’s twin peaks of Batian and Nelion crown one of the world’s highest national parks 704 kilometres of forest, moor land, rock and ice.

Although the mountain’s highest point lies 17 kilometres to the south, the equator cuts across the northern shoulders at a height of 11,000 feet.

Little grows at its extreme heights just a few lichen cover the exposed rocks but, in the high valleys, some of the world’s most spectacular mountain plants flourish, water holding cabbages or ostrich plume plants are actually giant groundsel, an astonishing mutation of a tiny alpine plant growing to incredible heights.

The lobelias grow even higher than the twenty foot high groundsel - some up to twenty seven feet - their hairy, grey leaves dotted with tiny blue flowers. More than 30 jewel-like lakes encircle Mount Kenya’s rocky spires.

Please enquire on Mount Kilimanjaro routes and Mount Kenya technical climbing details.  See safaris

Cycling And Walking
If you want to do more than the usual then, arranging or booking a walking Kenya safari is the best way to go. Cycling could also be done on Mountain Bikes. Bikes are supplied though you are welcome to bring your own.

We have purpose built trailers for transporting the bikes and a back-up vehicle follows each cycling safari at a discrete distance. Back up vehicles carry extra water and food as well as personal belongings that you don't want in your day-pack.

They also carry tired riders! Often another back-up vehicle goes ahead to set up camp, prepare the meal and the welcome hot-water showers.

Walking safaris in Kenya can be several half day stints combined with game drives and walks or can be a journey in itself. A trip could take you from the outskirts of Nairobi down into the Great Rift Valley and across to Lake Naivasha and on to Lakes Nakuru, Baringo and Bogoria viewing much wildlife along the way and flamingos by the million.

We will usually stay off the main roads, avoiding the traffic and enjoying the peace and wide open spaces.

A guide will lead the way and a bicycle mechanic rides at the rear to attend to any punctures etc and a back-up vehicle all combine to give you peace of mind and allow you to enjoy the trip to the fullest. See safari

Motorcycle Safaris In Kenya.

Motorcycle Kenya safaris are designed for the adventure travellers looking for more than just wildlife in Africa. Monthly scheduled departures days are set out with various itineraries to choose from. Entertainment by the Masai (song, dance etc.)
