Ngulia safari lodge
The
lodge is situated spectacularly on the end of ndawe escarpment, offering
a exclusive vast panorama of Tsavo’s sweeping plains. Ngulia is an ideal
base from which to explore
Tsavo west, one
of the world‘s largest national parks.
All of the big five- elephant,
lion, leopard, buffalo and rhino can found here. A spectacular backdrop
to the abundant wildlife is the snow covered dome of Mount Kilimanjaro,
the highest peak on the entire African continent.

In the heat of the
day when animals are less active, guests can swim in lodge’s pool or
take a drive to the oasis of Mzima springs. Here, a special viewing
facility allows the observer to view hippo wallowing with surprising
grace from below the water line. After dark, the waterhole by the lodge
regularly hosts the song birds that come in their millions from Northern
Europe and Siberia to southern Africa. Other attractions include the
nightly visit of a local leopard, who visits a nearby tree to eat the
bait that has been set out by staff at the lodge.

lodge has fifty two rooms, a swimming pool, a strategically located
restaurant, two bars and a viewing bay for the wildlife. The lodge has
been constructed to blend in with the environment, in the best tradition
of ecologically sensitive architecture.
