Oasis Lodge Lake Turkana

The lodge nestled amongst the Doum Palms in the semi desert of northern Kenya, near Lake Turkana, presents a very special opportunity for an especially unique safari for the more adventurous.

Some of the activities available at Oasis Lodge include;

Oasis Lodge lake Turkana also hosts two lovely pools fed by natural hot springs. After one of the activities available, you may enjoy the relaxing atmosphere in the shade of the doum palms, a cool drink at the famous bar, or just take a swim in the pool.

The Oasis Lodge also offers excellent cuisine. The Jade Sea, as Lake Turkana is also called, is a remarkable fishing ground, and the chef prepares tasty meals from the daily catch.

Oasis Lodge is also the scene of the filming of The Constant Gardener, a recent Hollywood production, based on the book written by John Le Carre.

At Lake Turkana Oasis Club it isn't just a safari, it is a journey to another world and an adventure one will not easily forget.

If you want to drive, it takes you two days to reach the lake. We have to use a four-wheel- drive Car and we have to stay one night at Maralal Safari Lodge. In Maralal you have the chance to see zebras, a lot of buffalos and elephants. It’s a melting pot of a lot of tribes and it’s the head town of the Samburus.

You can fly you in a Cessna 206 if you are not more than 5 persons. For more persons we can arrange to take a bigger aircraft. The flight in the small aircraft takes 2 hours and 10 minutes and you will have a fantastic view over the whole Rift Valley. All flights depart from Wilson Airport in Nairobi.
