Sabuk lodge Laikipia Kenya

Sabuk lodge is a beautiful and remote alluring haven on the edge of the Northern Frontier District. Built on a cliff overlooking the Ewaso Nyiro River, which flows past the lodge year-round. Sabuk lodge offers stunning views of the Laikipia plains, Mount Kenya and beyond.

Reserve one of 5 open-sided cottages with private verandas and enjoy a stunning view. Sabuk Lodge is situated high on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River in Laikipia, Kenya's Northern Frontier District, and boasts fantastic views over the river gorge 150m below.

Each of the five cottages have private views, en-suite facilities and is beautiful decor. The lodge has been crafted from local materials of stone, timber and thatch and has a wonderful and luxurious atmosphere.

This is a great family destination and children have plenty of activities for them to pursue. Sabuk lodge is simply remote and very beautiful.

Sabuk lodge remains a family home. The guest cottages are secluded, each a unique design, open fronted with generous double or twin beds, hand carved wooden furniture, en-suite bathrooms with flush toilets, hot showers and sumptuous deep stone baths with amazing views.

Sabuk lodge works closely with the local communities. ‘The Laikipia Masai’ share their tribal and bushcraft skills, tracking animals, pointing out the medicinal and other uses of local fauna and flora, teaching a new way of looking at the wilderness surrounding you, an amaizing cultural experience not to be missed.

The Sabuk team operates camel assisted walking safaris. This age old style of safaris can be tailor made to suit all guests and all levels of fitness. Walking or riding, a camel back is a great vantage point for the surrounding scenery. Making Sabuk lodge the ultimate retreat spot.
